James F. Getz

Chairman of the Board, Executive Chairman and Founder of TriState Capital Bank

Jim Getz serves as Chairman of the Board and Executive Chairman of TriState Capital Bank, has spent over 45 years working in the banking and financial services industry. Prior to founding TriState Capital, Jim Getz was the founder of Federated Bank and Trust, established in 1985. He later served as president of Federated Securities Corp., a position he held since 1993. Jim earned several promotions in more than two decades with Federated, and served as a corporate director from 1998 – 2001. Jim is also the Chairmen, CEO and Director of TriState Capital Holdings and Chairman of Chartwell Investment Partners. His tenure at Federated was preceded by two senior positions at two other Pennsylvania banks: Girard Bank from 1973 – 1982 and First Pennsylvania Bank from 1982 – 1985. He holds a Master of Arts Degree from Villanova University and Bachelor of Arts Degree from King’s College.

Brian S. Fetterolf

President, CEO of TriState Capital Bank

Brian Fetterolf serves as CEO, President for TriState Capital Bank. Brian has over 20 years of experience in financial services. He joined TriState Capital in 2009 and has held numerous positions within the company prior to his current roles. Before joining TriState Capital, Brian was with Macquarie Capital (Chicago) as a Senior Vice President in the Special Situations Advisory Group and was the Senior Vice President, Head of Legal and Structuring for Macquarie’s U.S. Commercial Real Estate Finance and Capital Markets Group. Prior to Macquarie, he was the Director, Structured Finance for LaSalle Bank/Bank of America’s Commercial Conduit Group (Chicago), and a licensed attorney with Buchanan Ingersoll Rooney (Pittsburgh). Brian earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bucknell University, a Juris Doctor degree from Boston College Law School and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. He also holds FINRA Series 7 (general securities representative) and Series 24 (general securities principal) securities licenses. He serves on the Advisory Board for the Honor Foundation, which assists Special Operations Forces transition from active duty to civilian careers.

David J. Demas

Chief Financial Officer, TriState Capital Bank

David Demas serves as Chief Financial Officer of TriState Capital Bank.  David joined TriState Capital in 2017 from Deloitte & Touche LLP where he was a senior partner in the financial services practice. During his 25-year career with the firm, he served some of Deloitte’s largest, most prominent and complex banking, securities, asset management and finance technology clients. His Deloitte career started in Pittsburgh before moving to its southern California and San Francisco offices to serve clients nationwide.  David earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Duquesne University.

Cynthia Meyer

Chief Risk Officer, TriState Capital Bank

Cynthia is the Chief Risk Officer, where she is responsible for facilitating and developing and managing the Bank’s compliance and risk management programs. Prior to joining TriState Capital she had over 17 years of experience at PNC Financial Services where she most recently held the title of Business Credit and Vendor Finance Strategy & Planning Director. During Cynthia’s tenure at PNC she held positions in Business Credit, Corporate Banking Underwriting, and PNC Real Estate. Prior to her banking career, Cynthia spent time in accounting and financial analysis roles at IBM and Metallurg, Inc. She holds a BBA in Accounting from Notre Dame where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.

Dan Pavlick

Chief Information Officer, TriState Capital Bank

Dan serves as the Bank’s Chief Information Officer, leading our Technology team. He is responsible for the strategy and execution of technology initiatives across the Bank. This includes enterprise applications, infrastructure, and data ownership and strategy. Dan has spent most of his career working in the banking industry, having served in multiple leadership roles at PNC, where he oversaw the integration of its recent acquisition. Prior to that, Dan was CIO of Philips Respironics and worked in development consulting with Summa. Dan holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from Duquesne University.

Glenn Matamoros

Continuity of Business Officer, TriState Capital Bank

Glenn serves as the Bank’s Continuity of Business Officer and has spent nearly a decade working in the banking industry. Glenn oversees the maturation of our Disaster Recovery and Continuity of Business program. In addition, he is responsible for the execution of this enterprise-level strategy, which is a critical area of focus for the Bank. Glenn is a seasoned executive with success in strategy, operations, and technology leadership in both large-company and entrepreneurial environments. He has proven success in multiple elite organizations, including being a Navy SEAL Team operator, as well as a former engagement manager at McKinsey & Co. He has a B.S. in finance from the University of Maryland and an MBA from The Wharton School of Business.

Karla Villatoro de Friedman

Executive Vice President - Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel / Corporate Secretary, TriState Capital Bank

Karla is EVP, Chief Administrative Officer, and General Counsel of TriState Capital Bank. Karla’s responsibilities include planning, performance, and governance of TriState Capital Bank, focusing on how we execute and deliver on our business at the enterprise level. She leads our National Deposit / Family Office teams, Change Management Office, and Enterprise Reporting functions. She manages and oversees the internal legal group of the Bank and outside law firms while providing material support on transactions. Karla also oversees and coordinates interactions and relationships with regulatory agencies, including handling regulatory examinations. She works closely with the Company’s Board of Directors, the Chairman, the CEO, and senior officers, providing information on board best practices and tailoring the Board’s governance framework to fit the needs of the Company and its directors, as well as the expectations of stakeholders. She holds FINRA General Securities Representative (Series 7) and General Securities Principal (Series 24) licenses. Before becoming a lawyer, she worked as an Investment Banking Analyst with JPMorgan in New York City. She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey. Karla received her law degree from Fordham University School of Law and graduated from Marymount Manhattan College. She was born in El Salvador and immigrated to the United States as a child.

Kyle O’Connor

Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, TriState Capital Bank

Kyle serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, where he is responsible for overseeing bank-wide strategy, marketing, product and client experience, as well as bank operations and technology. He joined TriState Capital in 2018 – prior to which he served as Chief Executive Officer of kWantera, a Pittsburgh, PA based software start-up backed by GE Ventures. Kyle spent nearly 10 years with GE Capital in a series of global roles in corporate M&A, business development, sales operations, product and originations across business units; and is a graduate of GE’s Corporate Leadership Staff (CLS) program. He began his career with PNC Bank. Kyle holds a B.A. in economics from Allegheny College and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Melvin M. Washington

Chief Audit Officer, TriState Capital Bank

Mel serves as Chief Audit Officer, where he is responsible for overseeing bank-wide internal audit initiatives. Mel joined the Bank in July 2014 in the capacity of Senior Vice President, Compliance and Risk Management, and was Chief Risk Officer in 2015. Prior to joining TriState Capital Mel had over 15 years of bank regulatory experience, having most recently worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland as a Banking Supervisor for community banking organizations. Prior to that, Mel served with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. He has a Bachelor of Science degree, with an emphasis in accounting, from Duquesne University.

Thaddeus Clements

Chief Human Resources Officer, TriState Capital Bank

Thad serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer and is responsible for the HR functions of staffing, compensation administration, benefits administration, employee engagement and employee development.  He has more than 25 years of banking experience.  Prior to joining the Bank, Thad was EVP of Strategic Resources for First Commonwealth Financial Corporation where he reported to the corporation’s chairman and founder.  In that capacity he established the first corporate HR function at the holding company level.  In addition, he was involved in more than ten acquisitions and, in addition to HR, led the corporate marketing, communications and strategic planning functions.  Thad has a Bachelor of Science and a MBA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a MPM from Carnegie Mellon University.

Thomas M. Groneman

Executive Vice President, Chief Credit Officer

Tom Groneman serves as the Executive Vice President, Chief Credit Officer and has more than 30 years of banking experience.  Tom began his career progressing through PNC Bank in several key credit and lending roles.  He then joined Fifth Third Bank, where he led three teams calling on the commercial middle market in Cleveland.  His last position was as Senior Vice President and Regional Credit Officer at Sky Bank, where he was responsible for the greater Cleveland and Western Reserve Regions.  Tom holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Miami University (Ohio).

Bart Brush, Executive Vice President, Capital Markets for TriState Capital Bank, is responsible for client facing initiatives such as the marketing and execution of interest rate swaps and options, the marketing of deposit products to TriState Capital’s Commercial and Private Banking client base, as well as providing clients with other Capital Markets related products, information and insight. Bart is also responsible for internal strategic functions including his role as the chair of the bank’s Asset/Liability Committee (ALCO), the management of the bank’s securities portfolio, the negotiation and execution of wholesale funding opportunities, hedging the bank’s interest rate risk, and managing the bank’s relationships with other financial institutions. He is also a member of the Bank’s Enterprise Risk Management Committee (ERMC) and its Current Expected Credit Losses (CECL) committee. Prior to joining TriState Capital, Bart was part of the Financial Institutions Group at PNC Capital Markets. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Harvard University as well as an MBA from The Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University. Currently, Bart resides in Pittsburgh, PA with his wife and three children, where he enjoys watching his kids play sports, spending time with friends and family, running, and swimming.

Chuck Fawcett, Chief Banking Officer of TriState Capital Bank, is responsible for leading the Commercial Banking and Private Banking teams. In this role, Chuck oversees the Bank’s commercial & industrial lending, commercial real estate lending, equipment finance, fund finance, and treasury management across TriState Capital’s five regional offices. He also oversees our private banking business, which serves high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and businesses nationwide. Chuck has been with the bank since its inception, having served in various leadership roles over the years. Prior to joining TriState Capital, Chuck served as director of alliances trust sales/special projects consultant and vice president and director, marketing and product development, for nearly two decades for a Pittsburgh-based asset manager. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business and economics and a master’s degree in finance from the University of Pittsburgh.
